A Warning to our wedding guests . . .

Hello all! Four more days, can you believe it?!

School is done, yay!! I still have a lot to do, but at least the homework is done (for now) and I can actually have time to finish everything!

So I may be a little ahead of myself, but I just couldn't resist looking up a weather forecast the other day.

So far, so good!

Long ago when Matthew and I picked this date, we knew that we would be gambling with the weather. This one one the main things we considered when picking Walden West because we don't hate their back-up rain plan. The reception will be inside regardless, but we are really hoping to have the ceremony outside!

Obviously, we love everyone who is coming and wouldn't think of making you sit through the ceremony in rain. However, consider yourselves warned. Rain is the only thing that will move the ceremony inside, cold temperatures won't!

So you all may want to make sure you bring a jacket. Hopefully the ceremony will leave you feeling all warm inside, but you should still plan on bundling up, just in case . . .

A second warning to our guests is that we have been told there may be some construction on Big Basin Road where you make the left turn onto Sanborn Road (That is if you are coming from downtown Saratoga. For any guests coming from Highway 9, I think it's a right turn onto Sanborn.) we have been told to warn you all so you leave plenty of time to arrive for the ceremony. Don't worry, there will be music, beverages, and handsome groomsmen to entertain you if you end up arriving early : )

I'm so sorry I haven't been able to post anything about my amazing bachelorette or bridal shower parties, I'm too busy working on the (hopefully) amazing wedding! On the bright side, making those posts later on may help reduce some of that post-bride depression I've heard so much about . . .

Alright, back to work. See you all in a few days!!!

Sorry for the neglect!

Wow, I knew it had been awhile since I had posted on here but I didn't know it had been almost a month!! I am so sorry! Not only have I been hard at work running around doing wedding errands and executing my DIY plans, but school has really been piling up on me. For all of you who don't know, in addition to planning this wedding, I am also doing an online grad program to get my masters in psychology. It's not as difficult as a program where I would have to go to class and there aren't any tests, but there is tons of homework and lots of papers to write. I have to admit, the last thing I want to do after writing a paper is write a blog post, even though they are much more fun to write!

Lots and lots of stuff has been happening though! Our bachelor/bachelorette parties were the last weekend of September. Mine was in Palo Alto and Matthew's groomsmen took him to Vegas. Mine wasn't too crazy, but it sure did a number on my immune system because that cold I had been fighting off turned into bronchitis a few days later which is why I got so behind in school. I am almost caught up and will be done with my current class a week from tomorrow, just in time for me to have a little over a week of non-stop finishing touches before the craziness begins! I am really wishing that I had taken this term off of school so I could have the luxury of doing nothing but wedding stuff, but then again when I'm done with this class I will be half done and that's something that will last long after the wedding stuff is long and gone!

My bridal shower was this past weekend and it was so great to have my family blend with Matthew's family. My sister and Maid of Honor Jennifer hosted a lovely party at her house and we have a big old pile of presents collecting in our living room that we have no idea what to do with! I just can't possibly think of organizing right now, and why bother since we will be getting more stuff soon and then I will have reorganize all over again!

Sorry I don't have any time to upload any pics right now, not that I have many. It's hard to take pictures when you are the center of everything, so if anyone has any good pics from any of the recent events, please let me know! If you are still itching for some behind the scenes stuff, check out our friend Liv's blog here. She is Matthew's Iron Maiden (has a much better ring to it than Best Man, don't you think?). She is on top of her game and has already blogged about their weekend in Vegas. I warned her that I would post a link to her blog since I am so behind, ha!

Alrighty folks, gotta get some beauty sleep, I'm getting married in a few weeks!!!
