Hi there! I guess I haven't posted in awhile but I've been busy, busy, busy! Month two of working on my BCBA has been grueling yet exciting! I didn't really enjoy my first ABA class, but I started my second class this week and it's SO much better! After all the years of school I am finally learning how to DO something instead of learning ABOUT something! I am also learning more about what I have signed up for, in about a year I will be a behavior analyst, crazy!
I was also nominated to start my checklist at work, which is basically a one year training program to become a clinical supervisor where I will manage my own cases, which will mean doing assessments and creating behavior plans which I find really interesting!
Anyways, my hour count for the end on January puts me at 206.67 hours down and 1293.33 hours to go! My new training program and the new case I've been assigned will help me hit the maximum hours per month, so I will hopefully add even more hours at the end of this month!
The hours seem like a lot, but I would be doing them regardless of if I was working towards the BCBA or not so they don't seem so i may as well just keep going. Reminds me of this quote I heard a few weeks ago: "Never give up on a dream because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway." I don't know who said it, but it's so true!
Gotta get to bed, we have the neffies this weekend!
Cheers!
